You have a live campaign with Ourcart and want to understand the fraud risks
The Brand Marketing Solution counts on a very detailed and complex fraud prevention mechanism. This was developed to reduce the impact of fraud activity and/or malicious behavior from consumers.
Varying mechanisms allow the system to automatically detect such activities and block the users from claiming any reward going forward.
The blockage happens across promotions, meaning that it does not matter the brand or the offer the user is attempting to participate in, and the person will be suspended in all scenarios.
In order to minimize and reduce the fraudulent activity, some measures are in place, such as, but not limited to:

Fraud Score: This system evaluates a user's behavior from the moment they engage with the platform, analyzing various details to determine the likelihood of fraudulent activity.

Browser & Device Identification: By creating a unique fingerprint for each user's device, Ourcart effectively prevents individuals from registering multiple accounts using different credentials.

User Validation: To confirm the authenticity of users, Ourcart employs a variety of verification methods, ensuring that only genuine consumers are able to participate.

Duplicate Receipt Detection: An advanced algorithm is utilized to compare different features and data points, enabling accurate identification of duplicate receipts.

Daily Limit: The implementation of a daily limit serves as a safeguard against unusual spikes in activity, allowing the system to conduct manual fraud checks and protect against significant losses while ensuring legitimate interactions are prioritized.
Please note that receipt processing is not an exact science and it is not 100% guaranteed that fraudulent behavior will not happen.
