You need to decide what type of rebate/cashback you are granting your consumers.
By utilizing Ourcart’s CPG Marketing Solution you gain the possibility to engage consumers in six different offer types that can match your audience, your marketing budget or any other criteria that needs to be met.
The different offer types are:
PERCENT OFF
Most common offer type. You can give 100% off on the purchase of one item, which characterizes a free offer. Any other percentage can be applied to the offer. E.g. Buy one get 30% off, 25% off up to a maximum of X$. This offer type has proven to be an excellent tool to incentivize product trials and provide a low-touch alternative to sampling.
You can adjust the offer to reward all consumers with the same amount. E.g. Buy one unit, get $2 off. The amount paid as a rebate is always fixed, independent of how many items were purchased or their prices. This offer also encourages the multi-pack purchase, a fixed $4 back on a $12 item is perceived as a better deal than 25% off.
This offer consists on the encouragement for the consumer to purchase more than one item at the same time, receiving a percentage back as rebate. BOGO offers are the most common offers in this scenario, you can give 50% off on the purchase of two items. E.g. Buy 3 units, get 33% back, up to X$.
Offer created to drive sales velocity and increase sales significantly at a specific retailer, for example. The "Tiered Unit Based Rebate" aims to encourage multiple product orders. Your consumers earn rebates only when they buy a certain number of participating products. E.g. Buy 2 get $1, Buy 3 get $3, Buy 4 or more, get $5.
This offer establishes a minimum spend that has to be made by the consumer to earn the minimum rebate. The Spend Maximizer is a good offer type for well known brands that want to drive revenue and results fast. E.g. Spend $15 and get $5 back or Spend $30 to get $10 - this encourages consumers to spend the maximum amount possible to get the higher rebate.
With this offer, the discount percentage increases with the number of items purchased. E.g. Buy two items and get 10% off, but if you buy four items get 30% off.
